About Janet Clark

Janet R. Clark was first elected to the School Board in 2004 and re-elected in 2008, serving as Vice Chairperson in 2008-09 and Chairperson, 2009-10 .

A graduate of the College of Charleston in South Carolina, Ms. Clark has taught middle school EH and VE students, most recently at Meadowlawn Middle School in St. Petersburg. Elected to the school board right out of the classroom after challenging a long term incumbent, Janet brought a teacher’s voice to the school board.

Ms. Clark serves on various community and civic organizations such as R’Club, Homeless Leadership Network, the Louise Graham Regeneration Center and the Suncoast Center, Inc., formerly Family Service Centers. Ms. Clark is active in her church, the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater.

Ms. Clark and her husband, Steaven Harbin have five adult children, the youngest graduates from the University of Florida this year.
